 Great Monitor August 2, 2008
Cant fault this monitor, infact I came on to look for a second one to run side by side with dual view.
Sharp images, great colour matching for photoshop and printing.
Gaming is great. Play alot of games and the response times mean no noticeable delay or ghosting.
I looked hard for a good monitor when i bought this a few months ago, and the reviews I found pointed at this. Sorry I cant remember the link now but it came highly recommended and rightly so. Conclusion after many days looking around was that this was the best monitor in the price range, and possibly even for another 30-50 more also.
Looks great, great functionality and a good price.
I do recall the issue of having to really force the stand into the unit as mentioned in another review. It does need lot of pressure which is worrying with a brand new toy but once it slots it all good.
Very Impressive July 26, 2008
Just picked up one of these beauties, always been a fan of samsung and this is no exception. Image quality is very good and had no dead pixels. As previously stated trying to get it on the stand proved a little troublesome - paritally as I was afraid of over doing it and damaging it, but a bit of force and it goes together nicely.
It is very light and it looks great - both picture quality and design.
A very good monitor for the price, top job samsung.

I was running on a dell 19 inch widescreen,thought i'd upgrade and glad i did.
Its a great looking piece of kit did'nt have any assembly problems,very happy,bought from amazon.fr last week.

I agree that the picture quality is suberb and the huge real estate is a joy to use.
It is a little disconcerting that the brightness varies slightly as you move your viewpoint up or down but I can live with that.
Alas. it is let down by the flimsy stand, with no height adjustment, and even worse it is not compatible with a VESA bracket so it cannot be wall mounted. I even checked with Samsung:-
"With regards to your enquiry, it is not possible to wall mount the SM2232BW, as you have correctly stated it does not have a VESA compliant fitting."

I didn't buy mine from Amazon in the end as my local electrical store was selling it cheaper. The 2232BW is a fantastic monitor. I'm a designer by trade so clarity and good colour calibration is a must. The screen is a good size and calibrates easily either with MagicColor or with a calibration tool such as a Blue Eye. The low-glare surface is excellent.
The only problem I had was installing it, and I don't like the fact that it doesn't have a lateral swivel; other than that it's a very good screen and I would recommend it to anyone.
