Ok first off I've only given it 4 stars because of the touch controls.I found them slightly annoying and difficult to see under anything other than a bright day outside.
Now i have a 20" HP monitor which is only 18months old, the Samsung is sitting right next to it.instantly Ive noticed the brightness/contrast of the Samsung its an extremelty well lit monitor showing good detail.
Ive only had this a couple of days so the monitor picture will improve slowly over the next couple of weeks.I havent tried any racing games yet but have tried Crysis, Assassin creed, Rainbow 6, Call of duty 4 and Medal of honour:airbourne all of which look fantastic at the native resolution of 1920x1200. There has been no ghosting at all the games have run very smoothly.Bare in mind this is a 16:10 ratio monitor and not a 16:9 so 2 of the game i tried, medal of honour and Rainbow 6 had black bars top and bottom.Its not a problem and you will hardly notice them.most games these days account for 16:10 ratio monitor so you wont find it a problem.
The Samsung gives the best picture ive seen yet on watching HD movies.I'm using a quality DVi to HDMI cable to hook up to the pc for the crispest of images.
Even though TN panels which this is get knocked for viewing angels I find it odd that someone would buy a 25.5" monitor and sit 2feet to the left or right of it!!The view angles are perfectly fine even if you did want to sit left or right of it...I really dont think anyone would have an issue..All in all an excellent monitor from samsung, it has a fantasic picture, very bright, no ghosting, plenty of inputs and even some mini speakers built in!!
