4 out of 5 stars Turbocad   January 14, 2005

Reading the other comments I would agree that , for someone not used to producing drawings, this would not be easy!
However if you are, the product works fine. You will need to play around for a while to find the correct drawing tool but that is the same on every programme you buy. All in All I am very happy with this product, at this price.

4 out of 5 stars a good technical drawing package   December 14, 2004

I run a small business and use this software for producing three-view manufacturing drawings. I disagree with the other reviewer: it is complicated software, but it needs to be in order to produce good drawings without taking forever. Don't expect it to do lots of auto-guessing as you draw, but do expect to do everything you need once you find the right function. I trained on Autocad - Turbocad is less fully-featured, and not quite as intuitive (to me), but is 1/10 the price! a good option if you use it a few times a month, for daily use pay the extra for Autocad (which is definitely a 5 star piece of software).

1 out of 5 stars Not quite what you think   July 7, 2004

Having purchased this package recently, I thought, foolishly as it turns out, that it would be fairly simple to use as this is how it is described by the manufacturer. It is in fact the opposite. The instruction manual is extremely difficult to follow and the simplest of tasks is not explained in the simplest of ways. To contact the company by phone costs 1.00/minute which is a disgrace especially as the 'expert' could not even help me. I then had a local expert look at it and they also were amazed at its complexity. In conclusion I would avoid this package if you are hoping for 'the fastest, easiest way to design anything', as described on the box.
